Business Stream bring in extra resources to ensure Scottish businesses stay open after cold weather

Business Stream, Scotland’s leading non-domestic water supplier, says that most Scottish businesses have been able to open their doors as normal after the cold weather over Christmas and New Year.

To content with one of the coldest spells on record, Business Stream increased frontline staff resources to ensure that customers with frozen or burst pipes could receive assistance as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for Business Stream, Scotland’s leading non-domestic water supplier, said: “In anticipation of another severe winter we committed additional resource over the festive period to enable us to respond to increased demand for emergency assistance from businesses.

“Call volumes were in line with our expectations and we have been able answer 95.6% of calls in less than 50 seconds. Our front line staff have been working to provide solutions to customers with burst or frozen pipes.

“The level of forward planning we put in place means that we are on the front foot as business gets back to normal this week, and we expect to be able to cope with any additional demand for assistance where burst pipes may have lain undiscovered.

“If a business does experience burst pipes or flooding we would encourage them to contact us. If it is an issue with internal pipework customers can find local accredited plumbers via our website www.business-stream.co.uk
