New Cumnock Pool

Business Stream came to the aid of a community charity that was struggling to preserve its local swimming pool due to large water bills.

Staying afloat

Massive water bills threatened to sink a community effort that had revived the outdoor pool in New Cumnock, Ayrshire.

Using CCTV, we discovered the pool’s supply pipes were badly corroded. Our team worked with the charity to:

  • develop a repair plan to fit out the pool with new pipes
  • agree a retrospective reduction to waste water charges, since the corroded pipes meant much of the waste water had never entered the sewers.

This solution enabled the community to keep the pool up and running.
