Using a water meter is the most accurate way to bill you. Your meter can also help you identify ways to save water and money.
If you have a water meter at your property, your bills are based on how much you are actually using. Water and waste water charges are both based on the readings taken on your meter. For all customers with connections to the public water and sewerage system, your property and roads drainage charges are based on the rateable value of the property.
Most metered customers are billed quarterly, based on alternating actual and estimated meter readings. If it’s safe and practical to do so, you’re please submit your own meter reading online. This will make your estimated bills more accurate.
Some of our customers have had a meter installed as part of the Government’s full business metering project. This means that your metered charges will be phased in. For more information on the project, visit our dedicated website.
If you don’t have a meter installed, we might be able to help you get one. Get in touch for more details.
