Signposting savings

When First Group asked us to review its water efficiency, we deployed automated meter reading technology, water benchmarking and rigorous analysis of the firm’s multiple sites.

We helped deliver savings by:

  • finding and repairing underground leaks
  • discovering the company was paying charges for premises it no longer owned
  • advising on sites where meters of the wrong size were in use
  • homing in on a depot where buses were being washed inefficiently.

The total savings for the transport group amounted to an impressive £100,000.
