If your water supply needs to be disconnected, whether temporarily or for good, we can arrange for this to be done for you.
Temporary disconnection
If you want to disconnect your water for a short period, just let us know. There will be a small charge for the disconnection and we may need to make a charge to cover the cost of reconnecting you at a later date and any changes to the pipework that need to be made.
If you’ve been unable to pay your bills for some time, we may take action to temporarily shut off your supply. You will be reconnected as soon as your account is back up to date. Again we'll need to add a small charge onto your bill if this happens.
The charges are:
- £131.70 if you ask us to temporarily disconnect you
- £204.95 if you've been unable to pay your bills
- £75 if we've been forced to pass your details to our credit management agency
- based on the cost of the work if any pipework alterations are needed for the disconnection.
Permanent disconnection
If you’d like us to permanently disconnect your supply, we will need to ask you for a £500 deposit in advance.
Based on how much the disconnection costs, we’ll then either refund you the difference, or ask to cover the extra costs.
