If your water supply needs to be disconnected, whether temporarily or for good, we can arrange it.
Temporary disconnection
If you want us to disconnect your water temporarily, just let us know. There’ll be a charge for the disconnection. We might also need to make a charge to cover the cost of reconnecting you at a later date and any changes to the pipework that need to be made.
If you’ve not paid your bills for some time, we may have to temporarily shut off your supply. But don’t worry – you’ll be reconnected as soon as you’ve made payment. Again, we'll need to make a charge if this happens. The Water Industry Commission regulates this process and they have a useful document that provides more information on the disconnections process.
For our current charges please view our charges document. [359KB | PDF]
Permanent disconnection
If you’d like us to permanently disconnect your supply, we need to ask you for a £500+VAT deposit in advance. If the permanent disconnection ends up costing less than £500+VAT, we’ll refund you the difference. If it’s more, we’ll ask you to cover the extra costs.
How do you get disconnected?
If you’d like us to disconnect you, fill out the disconnection form [99KB | PDF] and either email it to us, disconnectionrequests@business-stream.co.uk or post it to,

Remember you have to pay in advance for your disconnection. Your cheque for £500+ VAT should be made payable to Business Stream and if you could write "disconnection" and your customer reference on the back then that will help us.
