Apply for a fire tariff
If your property has fire fighting equipment attached to your water meter, you could save money by applying for a fire tariff.
What’s a fire tariff?
Water used for fire fighting isn’t chargeable. So if your meter serves fire hydrants, hoses or other fire fighting equipment, a fire tariff will take account of this.
You can only apply for a fire tariff if your water meter was installed before April 2003. All meters installed since then already take account of fire fighting water.
