How to apply

To apply for a water meter, you should consider a reassessment of your charges first. You could save money and get a free water meter that way. Other customers have on average saved almost 50% on their unmeasured bills.

If you've checked our reassessment calculator and worked out that it doesn't suit your business then you'll need to fill out an application form to apply for a meter survey. The survey is to check that your property is suitable for a water meter. For more details, take a look at our guidance on applying for a water meter.

You’ll need to pay for your survey before sending your application. You can pay online using our secure payment system. The fee for the first hour of a standard survey (9:00am to 5:00pm) is £89.99 + VAT, other charges may apply. Download our full charging statement [390 KB | PDF] for more details.
