Water meter reading schedules

On the 1 June 2016 there will be changes to the existing meter reading schedule. We anticipate that these changes will result in an improved service to our customers. 


Updating our schedule in this way helps us to:

  • Resolve field problems, including meter asset and supply leakage issues, as they arise more quickly and effectively. This will help us to ensure that your bills stay accurate and arrive on time.
  • Understand your needs and develop meter reading schedules that best suit your business.
  • Reduce our carbon footprint with the introduction of mapping and route design software. This could mean a reduction of up to 3,400 Kg of carbon per month. 

How does this affect you?

This means that, if you have a meter and pay your bills quarterly, a meter reader may visit your property to take a reading or, you may receive your next bill a littler earlier or later than expected.

Don’t worry, this will only happen once and you’re still paying for the water that you use. Going forward, you will continue to receive your bills on a quarterly basis allowing you to budget costs and compare your water usage more accurately over time.
