Business Stream’s experts made sure Robertson Construction Group’s new connection was smooth and swift.
When an urgent water supply was needed for a new care home, Robertson turned to us. Our experts worked hard to meet the demanding deadline, using our expertise to deliver for our valued customer.
Robertson is a privately owned portfolio of individual companies working in construction, investment, development and facilities management services throughout the UK. As part of a major project for the development of a new care home they needed an urgent application for a new water connection. The application was hugely time sensitive to ensure that the care home opening held to an extremely tight launch schedule. It was important to the Robertson building services team that they worked with partners that were as professional and fast moving as them. Having developed relationships with Business Stream during previous projects, the Robertson team got in touch with them to make sure the application was processed within the timescale.
Business Stream offered intensive consultancy to speed Robertson Construction Group through the new connection process. The sequence can be a complex one, involving checks on the internal plumbing, chlorination of the pipes and samples taken, as well as abyelaws check. Business Stream experts supported the customer through this application in detail, confirming that the forms were correctly completed and all the necessary documentation supplied. This ensured that there would be no delay when the application was passed to Scottish Water. Business Stream also made sure that Scottish Water contractors were on standby to make the physical connection at the right time.
Due to Business Stream’s knowledge and expertise, the customer’s deadline was met. The care home was connected to the water supply in time for its scheduled opening, avoiding any operational risk. As a result, Robertson is planning to work closely with Business Stream on future projects.
