Double check that you are AMR compatible

Before getting an AMR (automated meter reading) logger installed it’s useful to check that your property and water meters are fit for an AMR installation.

Our experts will always double check your water meter and properties before we go ahead with an installation but it’s worth reviewing to make sure.

About your water meter

This list covers the main criteria for attaching an AMR logger to your existing water meter:

  • the meter must be working and easily accessible
  • it must be pulse enabled (we can check this for you)
  • the meter can be internal to a property or external
  • the meter can be any age but the newer it is the better
  • the meter can be any size
  • the meter can be a sub meter but we won’t be able to bill you based on its AMR readings

About your property

This list covers the main criteria for installing an AMR to your property’s water supply:

  •   you need to have a metered supply
  •   your property must be UK based (including Northern Ireland)
  •   if you do not own your property you should make your landlord aware before installation goes ahead
