Business Stream, Scotland’s leading non-domestic water and waste water supplier, has announced a partnership with Reforesting Scotland (RS), which is to become its charity of the year.
As well as raising further awareness of the charity amongst its 100,000 Scottish customers, Business Stream will fundraise for RS at its own internal events and release employees to get them involved in a range of forestry-related projects.

Business Stream, the independent Scottish Water company operating in Scotland’s competitive retail water market, has finalised a contract which will see it supply water and waste water service to Forth Ports six sites across Scotland, including Leith, the Port of Rosyth and Grangemouth.

Scottish businesses are to become the first in the UK to be offered a direct debit discount on their water bills. The new initiative, launched by Business Stream, is a first within the Scottish water sector and will cut bills for many non-domestic customers.

Business Stream, the customer-focused company set up to service business customers across Scotland’s retail water sector has expanded its operation with the opening of a new Glasgow operation. The new site at Hillington, which opens on March 1, will accommodate up to 20 full time staff and act as the key customer service base for businesses in the west of Scotland.

Business Stream, a new company set up to service business customers across Scotland’s £330m retail water sector has been granted its permanent operating licences to compete in the forthcoming deregulated market for non-domestic water customers.
Granted by the Water Industry Commission for Scotland (WIC), the licences allow the new company to supply water and waste water services to Scotland’s businesses ahead of the market for business customers opening to competition in April this year.

Formerly known as Scottish Water Business Stream, Business Stream became a stand alone company within the Scottish Water group in November 2006 in preparation for market deregulation, which comes into effect in April 2008. The company has built a team with retail and utility experience and is aiming to become the water solutions provider of choice by offering a first class service and best value for money to business customers across Scotland.

Business Stream has further bolstered its management team with the recruitment of Kate Gilmore from LogicaCMG as its new Marketing Manager.
Gilmore joins Business Stream - a stand alone Scottish Water company - after two years as Marketing Manager for the global IT services and consultancy provider, where she was responsible for marketing its energy and utilities practice across the UK and Europe. She also boasts extensive commercial marketing experience in the utility sector, working with a range of major UK utilities clients during her time at LogicaCMG.

Smith joins Business Stream after nine years as a consultant with the global IT services and consultancy provider, where he was responsible for clients within the utility and public sectors.
