Business Stream wins at the UK Business Awards 2018

14 December 2018

UK based water retailer, Business Stream, has picked up three accolades at the prestigious UK Business Awards.

Business Stream won Gold in the Utilities and Business Change or Transformation categories and Silver in the Customer Centric Organisation category at the glittering awards ceremony, which took place on the 7th December at London Park Plaza Hotel. This follows the company’s recent success at the International Customer Experience Awards in Amsterdam in November where the company won Best Digital Transformation, recognising its innovative approach to customer service.

The winners of the awards were selected by a panel of independent judges made up of business professionals from across the UK, and the awards were recently accredited with the Gold Standard Awards Trust Mark from the Independent Awards Standards Council.

Commenting on their success, Jo Mayes, Business Stream’s Customer Operations Director, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have our efforts and achievements recognised at the UK Business Awards. As a business we are committed to putting our customers first and over the past 12 months we’ve made huge strides in improving our customers’ experiences. The team has worked so hard and I’m incredibly proud of everything we have achieved”.

Business Stream works with private businesses and public sector organisations across the UK. Earlier this year it announced plans to help its customers reduce their water consumption by 20 per cent. The pledge, announced by the firm’s CEO, Jo Dow, forms part of Business Stream’s on-going commitment to promote the importance of water efficiency and to pro-actively work with its customers across the UK to reduce their water use.

The new £2.5bn English water market, which opened in April 2017, enables 1.2 million businesses and public bodies in England to choose their water supplier for the first time. In the first year of the English market Business Stream secured over £155m in new contracts.

To date, Business Stream has helped its customers save over 38 billion litres of water, resulting in almost £75 million in financial savings and over 66,000 tonnes in CO2 savings.
