Alternative Water Sources

Water’s all around us – we can help you make use of local water sources so your business is never left high and dry

Local water sources – the benefits

There are many benefits to using local water sources such as saving money by using less water from your standard supply, guaranteed quantity and quality of water even if there’s an interruption to the main supply. Plus you could shrink your environmental impact by reusing water or sourcing it locally.

Rainwater harvesting, rivers and canals - helping to deliver useable water

As part of an overall water strategy, rainwater harvesting can help deliver useable water.

We’ve also worked with several customers to use water from local channels for their business needs – in cooling processes, for instance.

This would replace the need for as much mains delivered water, especially in wash down/flushing processes.

Emergency tankered water - a supply you can rely on in an emergency

It’s reassuring to know that in a crisis you can depend on a water supply of the right quality to keep your business running.

We can deliver our 25,000 litre water tankers, small trailers or pallets of bottled water swiftly to your door, to stand in when a supply is interrupted.

Hospitals and prisons are among the critical services that have benefited from our tankered drinking water in an emergency. We’ve also been able to source demineralised tankered water at short notice to keep industrial operations running.

Manufacturing customers make use of our tankered water to see them through planned shutdowns.

Borehole development - abstracting water from deep underground

A borehole is a technical term for a narrow shaft, which abstracts water from deep underground.

As a sustainable source, they can help provide long term savings. Our experts undertake all elements of borehole investigation and construction. Not all sites are suitable, so we’ll do a feasibility study first, to make sure it’s worth investing in one. Then we’ll ensure it’s put in place to make sure that you get the expected quality and quantity of water you need for your business.

Waste water recycle and grey water recovery - making the most of a valuable resource

With water being a valuable resource, recycle and recovery is an environmentally sound and often financially viable alternative to paying for your water supply.

We undertake all elements of recovery and recycle projects from consultancy on the viability of recycle to design, build, operation and maintenance of the facility.
