Community benefits

Under the current Framework, we’ve made a number of commitments to support our local communities. Some of these are listed below.

• We’ve offered free water butts, to capture and re-use rainwater, to every primary school in Scotland.
• We’ve partnered with Scotland’s Town’s Partnerships (STP) to help build stronger, more sustainable communities by sharing water efficiency education resources with its membership, raising awareness of Charitable Exemption relief for registered charities and community amateur sports clubs, and supporting the Partnership’s forums to build awareness around water conservation.
• We’ve worked with external partners, including Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), Career Ready and Limelight to provide mentoring support, coaching and paid work experience to young people.
